Group Trustees Board and Group Sub Team

You don’t have to become a helper or a Leader with the sections, there are plenty more opportunities and different ways that you can help our Scout Group.

The Group Trustees Board

The Group Trustees Board is a key and important role within the Scout Group. You don’t have to get involved with helping at the three sections, this is more of a backseat role which has a lot of flexibility when it comes to giving up your free time.

The Group Trustees Board has three main positions;

  • The Chairperson
  • The Treasurer
  • The Secretary

The rest of The Group Trustees Board is made up of Trustees. The Group Trustees Board meets together about four times a year to discuss about the Scout Group, its finances, health and safety and how we plan to move the group forward.

Group Sub Team

As a side line to The Group Trustees Board we also have a Group Sub Team. They meet around three times a year to discuss any fundraising events planned, how and where to apply for grants and funds and what specific things we need to raise money for. They will also discuss about our premise and how to maintain it, and our camping equipment and what might need replacing.

Most of the things required will come from the Section Leaders or from The Group Trustees Board, for example; The Scout Section are looking to replace 10 pop up tents at a cost of £500. So how are we going to raise that money? This is type of thing that will be discussed at a Group Sub Team meeting.

So as you can see, there are plenty of different roles that you can have within our Scout Group. Do you think that you could be suited to one of these roles? If so, then just fill out the contact form on our contacts page to start your amazing journey with us.
